Moved...

The move went ok though I didn't manage to keep up on this here blog during it like I thought I would be able to and we found that our old fridge has given up the ghost, but we got given so much Champagne, wine, biscuits and cake as moving in presents it's almost tempting to move more often, ha!

It's amazing what you find that you had totally forgotten about when you have to pack up all of your belongings and move, especially if some of those things havent seen the light of day for a while, I spent ages looking at forgotten photos and old sketch books. The only thing is, out of all of the piles of books we both own I didn't manage to find two of my most favorite - Julie Verhoeven's GAS book which is out of print now so I do hope it turns up somewhere and my J. Otto Seibold pop-up Alice in Wonderland...I haven't seen them for a couple of years since we left Brighton and was hoping they would turn up...maybe they are at the bottom of one of the last few unopened boxes somewhere...

Anyways, above is the view from our new front door! We are about 100 metres from the sea, which is so lovely to see every morning and see what it's doing. It was calm this morning when I took this picture but I should imagine it is REALLY rough right now as the weather has come in something awful!

The last few days I have been drawing and making jewellery before I do a BIG shop update at the end of the week... I have loads of new stuff to put in, lots of it with a Valentines theme and will be putting my Valentines picks in a special category in the store for easy lover shopping :)

Wish you were here...

Ugh, today has been a boringly horrible tax sorting out day, which I want to get sorted out before the move...one less thing to worry about!

Anyway, I completely forgot to mention about the amazing prints we have in the store from Ben the Illustrator!! They are in a range called 'Wish You Were Here' and feature wonderful and magical landscapes full of eye popping colours...

See and shop these great signed Giclee prints HERE!!

Lookie lookie --> Lots of new stuff!

I meant to come back and post yesterday but got caught up adding some great new items to the store over the last couple of days...

Super jewellery items from This Charming Girl
and me!!
Cute new cards from our newest designer Rainbow Attic
and notebooks from I Like Pens
We also have a great new selection of Glass Animal Pin Badges from Happy Owl Glass including restocks of old favorites
and also the most wonderful little button badge sets from Zosienka featuring her beautiful drawings of a bear and a goose...
More bits and pieces tomorrow (actual tomorrow this time!). last week was crazy busy with a jaunt up to Gloucestershire with the horses (vet stuff but nothing serious) and then I had dressage training sessions on Thursday and Friday so I ended up getting a little behind...

This week the Mark beau and I are moving! Only down the road though so nothing too stressful, into a little apartment that looks out over the sea...The Bonbi HQ will be staying put however in the studio at my folks farm so this move will be nothing like the Brighton/ Cornwall epic we had a couple of years ago where we had to move us, two businesses and the massive Lauder horse beast. That move took nearly all summer, ha!

Anyways I want to try and keep up on the posting this week as the blog has been a little thin of late, but do bear with me come the weekend when the move will be in full swing...

Jubilee Wharf Crimbo fair!

I am taking part in this year's Jubillee Wharf Christmas Fair down in Penryn in Cornwall this weekend. It is on Saturday evening from 6 until late and Sunday from 11 until 4. If you happen to be in the area please do pop over. It should be a fun evening on Saturday with music and a bar and stuff and other fun bits and pieces on Sunday...Yay!

Whassup?

Just a couple of little bits of things I have been working on this last month...

Canvasses for Fred Flare:
New tee for Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip's library tour!!
I have also been putting together my new website!! A portfolio for all of my artwork which I am hoping will be up and running by the new year. I wanted it up sooner but December has been rather manic (in a good way!) and I have yet to get it finished...but with my beau's help it is on it's waaaay!!
And this is a beautiful necklace I received from lovely Jen at Cat and Bang!! It's so sparkly with Swarovski crystals (I love Swarovski beads!!) and with a sweet deer and little snowflake is the perfect wintertime accessory...Thanks Jen :)Last weeks dressage to music was fun, except Lauder took an exception to the audience and kept a good ear cocked towards them just in case they did anything untoward like rustling or moving at all or other really scary things like that. Applause proved to be too much and he did a wonderful spin when they clapped at the end which ended our performance with a flourish to say the least!! Poor chap, I think he must be shy or something, bless!

So I hope all of your Christmas shopping is coming along well. Don't forget the last date you can place UK orders n the Emporium so they will get to you in time for Christmas is this Friday the 19th December and make sure you get your orders in by midday so I can pack 'em up and get them posted to ya!!

Long time...

Gah! Long time no blog from me!! Things have been pretty crazy around here in the run up to Christmas, I've been busy designing a new tee for Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip's latest tour, making lots of new mini canvasses for Fred Flare and making sure the shop is tip top with Christmas goodies!!

I just wanted to stop by with a quick blog today to mention 1: that I haven't dropped off the face of the earth! and 2: that there are loads of new items in the store with a last minute upload before Christmas over the coming few days...
Righto, I'll be back with more news and stuff soon, for now though I am rushing off to prepare for this evenings CDG Christmas Dressage to Music display!! I am taking part on Lauder and there is a saddlecloth to be tinseled, a top hat to be sequinned and a muddy horse to be polished and glittered...!

Oh one last thing: I have only recently been alerted to the gorgeous album "Home" by Peter Broderick. I reccommend a listen, it's very beautiful indeed...Myspace here.

Bang Bang!!

Yay! I have just added some great new stationary and button badges to the store. They are designed by Allison Cole of Bang Bang You're Thread and feature little clouds, trees and pirate paraphernalia....

The notebooks have 100 blank pages each and are great as sketchbooks or jotters, the stationary is perfect for sending little thank you notes (especially good for Christmas thank you notes!!) and other sweet greetings, and the button badges are just damn cute!!! All of these paper goodies are available HERE!!!

I also forgot to mention the very lovely treat I was given by Miss Ako of Ebony and Ivory last week when she sent her lovely goodies for the store...A very pretty patterned monthly planner and a bar of delicious dark chocolate wrapped in graphic paper!! Such a sweet surprise and so prettily bound with a little butterfly cut out tag...needless to say the chocolate was guzzled down pretty fast and didn't last very long...Thanks Ako!!

Weekend treats...

I have just been adding the latest GORGEOUS new batch of jewellery to arrive in the store from Ako Kivanc aka Gallery A aka Ebony and Ivory!!

Ako's jewellery is so pretty and delicate with lots of tiny trinkets and vintage charms and a sweet mixture of eye popping bright colour and classic earthy tones...All of her pieces come packaged in floral Ebony and Ivory boxes too with colourful fabric inserts, it makes them such a special treat either for yourself or someone dear to you!!

I have also had a re-stock of Cat and Bang's amazing deer necklace - the one that was pictured alongside my little blurb in Nylon magazine - and it is now available in three colours: Black, mirrored silver and mirrored gold...! as well as that I have also added a cute selection of Cat and Bang stud earrings too...

See and shop all Ebony and Ivory and Cat and Bang jewellery HERE!!!

Sink and Stove

Here are some images of my latest tee design!! It was made for indie record label Sink and Stove who have released records for the likes of You Say party! We Say Die!, The Playwrights, and Gravenhurst to name a few.

The man behind the label Ben Shillabeer, wanted a design with an emphasis on the countryside which would reflect the friendly homespun nature of Sink and Stove, so I went for an image that features woodland creatures all listening to the delights and sounds coming from a Sink and Stove logo shaped gramophone...

Both colours are available for the guys and the girls and they are exclusively available through sink and stove. You can learn more about the label and buy a limited edition tee or two HERE!!!

New goodies for the store...

I can't quite believe it has been a whole week since I last posted AGAIN!!! The past week has been so super busy as they always are when I have been away for a few days, especially at this time of year with all the gearing up of The Emporium for the big Crimbletide time of year.

It wasn't all work work work though. I have been to a couple of dressage lessons and a competition with Pia (2nd! not too bad at all!), and fitted in a bit of party attendance, apple and blackberry crumble making and eating and brand new baby visiting (welcome to the world Charlotte Grace!!) amongst other things...Yay!

I have also been adding hot new items to the store too!! I am pleased to welcome Yuen to the store as our newest designer. She makes gorgeous, delicate charm jewellery with a cute and quirky twist and we have a selection of pretty necklaces featuring the likes of anchors, scissors, little angel lockets, butterflies and carousel horses...all available HERE!

We also have a brand new batch of jewellery from Cat and Bang in store too, as well as some amazing new Bird Headbands in the Accessories section of the store! They have beautiful little feathery friends that sit neatly in your 'do and make for a cute party dress accessory indeed...See and shop all Cat and Bang HERE.

It's not all stuff for the girls either as we also have a selection of brand new tees from Oh Buggy fresh out of their newest collection for guys and girls. They feature poorly owls, pandas and goulish house parties and are all printed on ethically sourced tees made from organic cotton. All Oh Buggy tees are available HERE!!

There will be more updates later this week too and I am planning a little Christmas gift guide section in the store to make your Bonbi Forest indie gift shopping a little easier, so keep an eye out for that!
