Holidays and ATP!!

It's been such a busy time of late I haven't had the chance to post very much at all. Tomorrow my beau and I are off on our holidays, yay! But as usual the preceeding week has been a flurry of activity and late nights trying to get everything sorted out so that the shop stays up and running while we are away...You will still be able to order but be aware that your items will be shipped on 13th May at the earliest.

It's worth all the late nights though as we are heading to the sunshine for a week and then will be spending some time in our old home of Brighton seeing a few friends and then we'll be off for a fun filled weekend of merriment at All Tomorrow's Parties music festival at Camber Sands!!! I can't wait. ATP is my favorite music festival EVER and this year (unlike the last couple of years) I won't be manning a merch stall so I'll get to see lots of bands. Woot!

So just a few bits of news before I go: I have an interview up at Style Dash, which you can read HERE!!
Thanks to the lovely Mallory for that.

Plus we have a new designer in the store: Custom Made! We have some woodland inspired wonders for sale from the Custom Made creator Anna Butler, which you can see and shop HERE!! The custom Made Lil Matryoshka Cushion below is just too cute for words. I love it!

Upon my return there will be some big product updates in the store, including the most AMAZING little painted birds that I just can't wait to get in the store, some new tees from myself and lots of new pretty jewellery too...Stay tuned and I'll see you in a couple of weeks...Ta ra!

Bonbi in the Chateau

Bonbi Forest was featured on Chateau Bizarre today, a wonderful directory of amazing independent stores and designers. A bit of the blurb from the site says: "Notorious for showcasing small business at its strangest, the Chateau is devoid of overexposed couture, boring celebrities, and common strip-mall crap; we prefer to surround ourselves with the imaginative and extraordinary".

Thank you to Lilah for the review...Click the pic to read our little blurb!

It has all been a little quiet on the blog front of late as I have been busy designing new stuff amongst other things. I am off on a holiday in a week (hurrah!) so there is lots to sort out before then, but I hope to post some arty finds and pics of my studio happenings before I go, so stay tuned for those little snippets!!

Water and woodland wonders....

Yay! The sun is out again today and at last everything is starting to look greener around here. We have bluebells popping up too which look so pretty. Roll on summer and swimming in the sea!!

Over the weekend I received a little parcel full of beautiful new jewellery from Cat and Bang which is now available in The Bonbi Forest Indie Emporium. There is a selection of pretty underwater themed pieces with gold rimmed shells, turquoise stones, anchors and seahorses...

Plus there are some great new perspex pendants designed exclusively by Jen Stevens of Cat and Bang. We have an unusual deer head pendant in black or mirrored perspex and also another of her owl necklaces this time adorned with all sorts of sparkling and shimmering night time themed charms and beads...

You can see all of these and more new Cat and Bang jewellery HERE!!

Amy Burhoe Rings

We have some brilliant new rings from Amy Burhoe Designs in the store. I love these, they look like amazing sweets and gobstoppers!! The rings are all fused glass with silver plated adjustable bands on the back so will fit any fingers...

You can see and shop all Amy Burhoe items HERE!!

Bonbi Vests

What a changeable time recently! Blazing sunshine then snow then sunshine, then hail, then sunshine...I wish the weather would make up it's mind. On Monday I excercised one horse in brilliant sunshine and then half an hour later (I kid you not) I was riding another in an inch of snow and a quiet flurry of flakes. Bizarre!!

Anyway, I hope it warms up a bit soon because I have printed some new vests! They feature the same patterned owl design from my Bonbi Forest scarves which has deer, trees, owls, houses and balloons mixed in with lots of pretty hand rendered patterns.

The pattern is printed on the vests in mauve and then slightly offset and printed again with a dark grape purple on top which has streaks of shimmering gold too...
I just love the cut of these vests. They have large armholes and a very flattering loose drape and look great layered over other vests or on their own. Pretty!! See the vest in the store HERE

I have also made a few pieces of new jewellery too. There are golden skeleton leaves (love these and kept a pair for myself!) and a cute double chain For the two of you necklace, with a little heart inscribed "He who holds the key can unlock my heart" with a dangling key and sparkling Swarovski crystals. The chains can either be worn as one necklace or separated by an extra clasp and the heavier key chain given to the man of your dreams...yay!

I will be making more new jewellery over the next week for the store so stay tuned for that, plus I have some new Bonbi Forest jersey scarves coming soon too...We'll need them if it keeps threatening to snow. eek!
