Bang Bang!!

Yay! I have just added some great new stationary and button badges to the store. They are designed by Allison Cole of Bang Bang You're Thread and feature little clouds, trees and pirate paraphernalia....

The notebooks have 100 blank pages each and are great as sketchbooks or jotters, the stationary is perfect for sending little thank you notes (especially good for Christmas thank you notes!!) and other sweet greetings, and the button badges are just damn cute!!! All of these paper goodies are available HERE!!!

I also forgot to mention the very lovely treat I was given by Miss Ako of Ebony and Ivory last week when she sent her lovely goodies for the store...A very pretty patterned monthly planner and a bar of delicious dark chocolate wrapped in graphic paper!! Such a sweet surprise and so prettily bound with a little butterfly cut out tag...needless to say the chocolate was guzzled down pretty fast and didn't last very long...Thanks Ako!!

Ako's jewellery is so pretty and delicate with lots of tiny trinkets and vintage charms and a sweet mixture of eye popping bright colour and classic earthy tones...All of her pieces come packaged in floral Ebony and Ivory boxes too with colourful fabric inserts, it makes them such a special treat either for yourself or someone dear to you!!

I have also had a re-stock of Cat and Bang's amazing deer necklace - the one that was pictured alongside my little blurb in Nylon magazine - and it is now available in three colours: Black, mirrored silver and mirrored gold...! as well as that I have also added a cute selection of Cat and Bang stud earrings too...

Sink and Stove

Here are some images of my latest tee design!! It was made for indie record label Sink and Stove who have released records for the likes of You Say party! We Say Die!, The Playwrights, and Gravenhurst to name a few.

The man behind the label Ben Shillabeer, wanted a design with an emphasis on the countryside which would reflect the friendly homespun nature of Sink and Stove, so I went for an image that features woodland creatures all listening to the delights and sounds coming from a Sink and Stove logo shaped gramophone...

Both colours are available for the guys and the girls and they are exclusively available through sink and stove. You can learn more about the label and buy a limited edition tee or two HERE!!!

New goodies for the store...

I can't quite believe it has been a whole week since I last posted AGAIN!!! The past week has been so super busy as they always are when I have been away for a few days, especially at this time of year with all the gearing up of The Emporium for the big Crimbletide time of year.

It wasn't all work work work though. I have been to a couple of dressage lessons and a competition with Pia (2nd! not too bad at all!), and fitted in a bit of party attendance, apple and blackberry crumble making and eating and brand new baby visiting (welcome to the world Charlotte Grace!!) amongst other things...Yay!

I have also been adding hot new items to the store too!! I am pleased to welcome Yuen to the store as our newest designer. She makes gorgeous, delicate charm jewellery with a cute and quirky twist and we have a selection of pretty necklaces featuring the likes of anchors, scissors, little angel lockets, butterflies and carousel horses...all available HERE!

We also have a brand new batch of jewellery from Cat and Bang in store too, as well as some amazing new Bird Headbands in the Accessories section of the store! They have beautiful little feathery friends that sit neatly in your 'do and make for a cute party dress accessory indeed...See and shop all Cat and Bang HERE.

It's not all stuff for the girls either as we also have a selection of brand new tees from Oh Buggy fresh out of their newest collection for guys and girls. They feature poorly owls, pandas and goulish house parties and are all printed on ethically sourced tees made from organic cotton. All Oh Buggy tees are available HERE!!

There will be more updates later this week too and I am planning a little Christmas gift guide section in the store to make your Bonbi Forest indie gift shopping a little easier, so keep an eye out for that!

Autumn sweetness...

The air everywhere seemed to go all pink in the way only Autumn air can do...

Department of Eagles

I recommend a listen to Department of Eagles new album, In Ear Park...

It's a wonderfully layered and magical album from Daniel Rosson (Grizzly Bear) and Fred Nicolaus, evoking memories of childhood and mortality. Learn more and listen: departmentofeagles.com

Notes and Mirrors...

It's been such a busy week here, I can't quite believe it's Monday again! I was out competing the horses again this weekend and little Pia pony is on fire, she won both her classes at the weekend and qualified for the winter regional championships, yay!!

So today I have added some great new items from the wonderful Gemma Correll to the store, we have a selection of super cute pocket mirrors and also a notebook printed on the cover with one of her fun drawings. I love her work, it has a great sense of normality infused with a bizarre humour and magic!

We are ONE!

I can't quite believe it has passed so fast but the Bonbi Forest Indie Emporium has been open for a whole year now!

It really doesn't seem like 15 months ago that I hit upon the idea of expanding the store and started designing a whole new shop front, thinking through the nitty gritty of the consignment set up and contacting designers about stocking their wares...Now we have nearly 40 designers at BF and that roster is growing by a few every month!!

So as a little celebration there is now 15% off any order over £15 until next Tuesday October 14th!! Just enter the code HAPPYBIRTHDAY at checkout to redeem the offer...

Cheer up!

What a horrible gloomy grey rainy day. At least it has been in our little corner of the world, from what the weather man tells me it is pretty horrible elsewhere in the UK too...euch!

I may be a little late on this but I was introduced to it last week and thought it may well do for some cheer up entertainment. The video is the amazing inflatable street art of Joshua Allen Harris who creates weird and wonderful creatures from refuse bags that inflate as the air from subway trains rushes up through the grilles on the street...wonderful stuff. Watch:

While trying to find out more about the artist I got rather sidetracked by an amazing blog: www.woostercollective.com
It is a celebration of street art and has a brilliant and diverse selection of finds from around the world. These are a couple of my favorites from my first visit, I think it will be a place I frequent rather regularly seeing as there is so much to explore there!!

Wonderful play with shadows by a Lithuanian artist who goes by the name Morfai.
Brazilian street art from Level. You can see more HERE!!

And I love, love LOVE this so much it makes my head hurt: Doodles.
